Imagine having to leave your home overnight with nothing but the clothes you are wearing. This is what is happening to millions of families in Sudan. The main problem in Sudan is the ongoing fighting, which has caused many people to lose their homes, their food, and even their safety.
In our opinion, the situation in Sudan is serious because the fighting is destroying peoples daily lives and making it hard for families to survive.
According to the UN World Food Programme, “Over 21 million people in Sudan do not have enough food, and some areas are facing famine.” The fighting has stopped food from being grown, sold, and delivered, so people are going hungry. Many families cannot find food to eat, which can make people very sick or even cause death.
The fighting in Sudan has forced millions of people to leave their homes and has made life very hard and unsafe for many families. According to Al Jazeera, “More than twelve million people have had to leave their homes, either moving to other parts of Sudan or going to nearby countries.” This demonstrates when people are forced to leave their homes, they lose their houses, jobs, and farms. This makes it harder for them to get food, water, and shelter. Together, these facts show that the fighting in Sudan is not just about politics, it is hurting regular people and putting many lives in danger.
The United Nations and the African Union should help the groups in Sudan to stop fighting. Other countries can send money and supplies to organizations like UNICEF so they can give people food, clean water, and medicine. People can also help by donating money and sharing what is happening in Sudan. If everyone works together, many lives can be saved, and Sudan can have peace again.
